THE GOOD FIGHT
FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT
Lesson not just karate only. Lesson for whole life. Whole life have a balance. Everything be better. Understand?
We are not samurai. We are not soldiers. We are not street fighters. Why do we train?
We train because through martial arts we become better people.
THE GOOD FIGHT: DEFINED
Dedicated practice of true martial arts result in the cultivation of character. Beyond the superficial distinctions that separate martial arts styles from one another, we all walk the same path.
The Good Fight is a conscious effort to direct the strength, discipline and focus developed through consistent martial arts training into positive activities that benefit our community.
A REASON TO FIGHT
There is and always will be good and bad in the world. The path of the martial arts is the path of justice, courage and virtue. Just because one does not encounter physical confrontations with ruffians and roustabouts each morning does not mean we are safe.
The dangers we encounter in present day western society are far more subtle and insidious. This program is not about producing superheroes. This program is about encouraging average people to use their strength, intelligence and resources to help others.
Sensei Jordan volunteers for Page Ahead, a non-profit dedicated to children’s literacy. He is also an active member in the Ballard Chamber of Commerce. Fighting Chance Seattle has committed to donating 10% of fees earned from our in-house Self-Defense for Women workshops to the King County Sexual Assault Resource Center.
Fighting Chance Seattle partnered with Umpqua Bank in Ballard earlier this year to offer a free community kickboxing class. We look forward to offering more free community classes in the future.
This is just the beginning. As Fighting Chance Seattle grows, so will we continue to fight The Good Fight wherever we can. We are always looking for ways to engage the community. Please let us know if you have an idea or organization we should consider.
